The heart of the village
This magnificent fortress, which now houses inside the municipal offices, was built in fifteenth century. The main attractions of this palace are: the atrium, the council chamber, the Captain's room, the courtyard and the well.
Inside there is also the archaeological museum of Castellina where you can admire the Etruscan finds from the archaeological excavations of the country.
On the ceiling you can admire a bronze bas-relief, a tribute to war dead of the World War II of Castellina in Chianti. From the top floor of the castle you can admire the historical center of the village and the surrounding countryside. Inside the fortress it is also possible to celebrate weddings.
